Non account customers are required to pay an initial assessment / quotation fee for each repair (out of warranty repairs only). This fee will be between $66.00 and $165.00 covering the time required to assess and provide a quotation for your repair (where we do not have a fixed price service fee). While not due until after the job has been received into our workshop, it is due prior to assessment. This fee will be deducted from the final invoiced amount but understandably still applies for an unaccepted quote or no fault found. Our 90 day warranty covers the reassessment of an intermittent repair (which may have been interpreted as a no fault found). The original assessment fee will still be deductible from any subsequent charges.
Our minimum charge for out of warranty repairs varies between $66.00 and $165.00
We do not provide quotations for repairs under $ 165.00
STANDARD HOURLY RATE
In workshop standard hourly labour rate is $ 132.00
On-Site charges include a call out fee of $242.00 plus an hourly labour rate of $132.00.
FIXED PRICE REPAIRS / SERVICE
For many items we are able to offer a Fixed Price repair scheme. Fix price repairs are typically I/O cards power supplies, speaker recones and interfaces which are repaired for a fixed price no matter what the fault(s).
Fixed price service is only possible with equipment that is deemed by us to be “fit for repair”. Equipment that has suffered physical abuse, (including liquid spill damage), or is simply in a unrepairable condition will not qualify.
REFURBISHED EXCHANGES
As with fixed price repairs we offer refurbished replacements for selected power supplies and I/O cards. We take your faulty item and replace it with a stocked and tested refurbished part (usually with the same warranty as a new item). This means a fast turn around with, ideally, no assessment time and a stated price up front.
“PRIORITY” and “DROP TOOLS” SERVICE
Priority assessment is a $132.00 premium on top of the final repair charge.
Priority assessment time can vary slightly due to workload but guarantees the job will be assessed no later than the end of the next working day (5:00pm). To qualify for this service the job must reach us no later than 12:00am the previous day.
Drop tools assessment is a $198.00 premium on top of the final repair charge.
Drop tools assessment time guarantees the job will be assessed within 3 hours. To qualify for this service the job must reach us no later than 12:00am that day.
Please note that “priority” or “drop tools” service reduces the standard time taken to assess a job. Once assessed, the nature of the fault, complexity of repairs and importantly parts availability will define repair completion time. Priority service can only guarantee a reduced assessment time and may not always be advantageous.
STORAGE FEE
We have a storage fee of $5.50 per day that may be applied if your repair is not collected within 14 days of notification of completion.
